Finding help with WordPress can seem like an impossible task. Have you ever spent hours digging through results, only to be left frustrated and empty-handed? Don’t worry, you’re not alone. Plenty of others have been in that same position.

Help with WordPress

And that’s why I wanted to write today’s article. A lot of people don’t know how to properly navigate support forums and find the answers they need. Knowing how frustrating it can be to need answers, I decided to create this simple navigation guide. I hope it can help you find exactly what you’re looking for!

Basic Tips for Forum Communication

While it may seem like the popular route, posting a question to a forum should actually be your last resort. Before you do that, conduct a thorough search of the theme or plugin support forum using their search feature. With a bit of patience, you can typically find the answer to your question. Chances are, someone else has ran into the problem before you.

On the off chance that you’re the first person to encounter the issue (or you simply couldn’t find the answer), feel free to make a post. But when you do, keep the following tips in mind:

  • Make it as easy as possible for others to help. Use correct terminology and include specific URLs where applicable.
  • Keep up with your thread and answer any additional questions. Don’t just ask your question and hope for the best. Get involved with the community helping you.
  • If your issue is resolved, let the forum know. Keep everyone updated on the solution, even if you found the answer elsewhere.

These tips will ensure that you find your answer and keep the forum community happy too.

How to Find Answers on Google

When searching online, one of the most comprehensive places for finding help with WordPress is a simple Google search. With the right query, you’ll be able to mine a huge wealth of websites, blogs and forums for your answers.

Make your initial search and analyze the results. Make sure to skip any WordPress.org results. Although these tend to rank high, the answers are usually outdated or just plain wrong.

Instead, find blogs dedicated to helping people like you with WordPress. Bloggers make it their business to provide thorough answers in their articles and the comments that follow. These results often contain the best source of information.

Bonus Tip: Make Friends in the Community

Perhaps one of the most beneficial things you can do is make friends in the WordPress community. No one can answer your question on a Sunday evening better than someone you’ve built a relationship with.

Getting active in online communities is great, but don’t overlook “real life” friends. I’ve found that Meetup.com is the best source for this.

Chances are, there’s a free meetup already happening in your neighborhood for those needing help with WordPress – especially if you live in a populated suburban town or city. For those that aren’t close to a meetup, consider attending a tech conference. These usually cost money, but the connection you can make are priceless!

Get Help With WordPress from a Trainer

These three avenue can provide you with an immense amount of value. However, you’ll most likely spend countless hours trying to acquire and implement all the information.

For those more interested in saving time, consider an investment in a WordPress trainer. Through that route, you’ll have access to an experienced professional who can help you learn the platform in a fraction of the time.

If you’re interested in WordPress Training, I’d love to discuss how I can help you with your WordPress goals.

Your website management team at Emily Journey & Associates.

As a nonprofit manager, you have a steady stream of responsibilities filling your schedule. Accumulating the skills necessary to manage your WordPress website efficiently takes time. (And , I’m guessing you do have that kind of time!)

You are in the right place.

Quality nonprofit website management services are vital to reaching your donors and possibly the community you serve. You’re not looking for just any website consultant, you need the right one. One you can count on.

In fact, many clients come to me because they’ve already experienced the wrong one. It’s a common story: about a service provider who says all the right things to win your business, but the follow through on their services never backs up their promises. Your website falls low on their priority list. It becomes increasingly difficult to get small changes implemented. Before you know it, something major goes wrong and your nonprofit suffers as a result.

Ready to break up with your current website management agency? Let’s talk about your nonprofit’s website needs and create a service plan that serves you. Contact our office for details.

Nonprofit organizations shouldn’t have to experience this terrible phenomena in my industry. But if you’ve fallen victim to it, I have one piece of actionable advice…

Break up with your website management agency

Many website developers and digital agencies pose a serious problem in my industry. That statement may upset some of my peers, but someone needs to say it.

This is you.

As a nonprofit manager, you don’t have the time, resources, or knowledge base to devote to your own website management—or maybe you do, but you’d rather spend your resources directly on relationship building or whatever it is that makes your nonprofit tick.
In addition to our work in website management, we serve as website instructors and advisors. We meet people all the time who decide to take back the reigns of their nonprofit website by learning WordPress. All too often, that decision is fueled by negative experiences with website developers.
Too many website management service agencies are thrilled to take your business, but when it comes to fulfilling their promises, they just don’t show up.

  • They don’t listen to you.
  • They don’t get back to you.
  • They don’t know what you need, so they can’t give it to you.

Eventually you come to realize: it’s time to get out of this relationship.

Are we any different?

Look at it this way . . . we don’t build websites full-time. We definitely get plenty of referrals for lucrative website development projects but taking on too many of those projects would be a distraction. We prefer to fill our workdays with the special projects and updates requested by our website management clients.

Several years ago, our founder Emily Journey made the decision to limit the availability of our website development services to our existing clients. Our primary areas of focus are website management services and WordPress training.
That decision has changed the quality of our work lives dramatically! It means we can be available to our clients for those seemingly small but important updates to their websites.

And, our clients are happy.

Unprofessional, overpriced web developers and designers are the reality for many businesses today. But it doesn’t have to be your reality. Whatever your nonprofit website needs are, let’s talk about them!

Contact us to receive information about our nonprofit website management services.

A successful nonprofit requires a value-driven website consultant

As a nonprofit, your website serves as a foundational support to your mission. You need a reliable website consultant who cares enough to keep this pillar strong and functional.
Digital agencies want to drain your budget. I want to pour immense value into your cause.

Here’s the thing: I’m not a website developer. I’m not using a website management service as easy passive income to support the project that I really enjoy. This is what I really enjoy.

Over a year ago, I transitioned completely away from website development. The truth is, building websites didn’t fulfill me. Now, I only sell website maintenance services and WordPress training. I’m happier, and so are my clients!

As a nonprofit website consultant, I can focus on the small, day-to-day details that keep your website strong and effective. No more getting blown off by an agency who has “more pressing” projects to worry about. I’m here for you, every day.

What to Expect from a Nonprofit Website Management Provider

Unfortunately, my industry has many nefarious individuals lurking around and trying to deceive hard-working business owners. Thankfully, there are just as many of us who are value-driven and ethically-based.

Even if you don’t use my services, I want you to know how to tell the heroes from the villains. I want you to find the right consultant who will really support your nonprofit. With that in mind, here are some characteristics of a trustworthy website management provider…

1. Responsive Communication Centered on Honesty. You should never have to fret about what your website manager is (or isn’t) doing. If they fall off the planet for weeks at a time, you’re wasting your time and money on someone who isn’t really invested.

2. Reliable Execution of Project Deliverables. Keep an eye out for those who over-promise and under-deliver. If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Ask for case studies, performance KPIs and a list of past clients.

3. Considerate of Your Nonprofit’s Individual Needs. Your nonprofit has a unique set of needs and challenges. Find someone who knows how to LISTEN. It’s important to find a consultant who is open to adapt to the unique aspects of your nonprofit.

4. Transparent Methods Supported By Strong Ethics. Let me set the record straight: It’s highly unethical for a web developer to restrict access to your website or content. You deserve top-level access and an understanding of what’s going on.

5. Attentive and Respectful of Your Time. This is, perhaps, the most common complaint I find with today’s web management professionals. It’s important you can trust to receive quick responses and solutions to any website problem that arises.

Do you need reliable website management services? Contact us for information and pricing.

We use a subscription-based pricing model for nonprofits. We’ll chat and outline your needs, then come up with a dedicated amount of time we’ll spend on your website each month.

Support Your Mission With Our Nonprofit Website Management

There’s a key concept in behavioral economics called sunk cost fallacy. Basically, it’s that voice in your head that keeps saying, “I’ve already spent so much money on this agency’s website services. I can’t afford to drop them now!”

In reality, you can’t afford NOT to!

Let go of the agency that just wants YOU to support THEM with that monthly retainer fee.

Think about all the days or weeks you waited for a simple email response. How many times have you had to ask (or argue) for access to your own content or website?

What if you spent that time on activities to spread the message about your mission? Would your nonprofit have more widespread reach? How many people have missed out because an unmotivated website developer didn’t do the job?

Your website supports your mission, and we want to support your website.

It’s time to invest in nonprofit website management services that are responsive, reliable and 110% focused on supporting the cause. If that’s the kind of partner you want, contact our office for details

Welcome to Emily Journey & Associates. We provide website management services for businesses all over the United States. As WordPress instructors and developers, we talk with business leaders and decision makers about their websites every day. When a new client shows up at our doorstep, they’ve often been put through the wringer by their most recent website developer. We hear some crazy stories from our new clients.

Lots of them.

Mostly from people feeling held hostage by their website developer–who fell off the face of the earth.

“I’ll go ahead and say it. Poor communication and downright dishonest behavior are a serious problem in my industry.”

How to tell when your website management services are NOT adding value

How can you recognize when your website management agency is working for itself—and not for you?

Every situation is unique, but here are five tell-tale signs that your website management services may not be giving you a fair return on your investment:

1. Failing to communicate

As I’m sure you’ve heard, communication is a two-way street. You want to work with someone who can speak AND listen: someone who not only hears what your website management needs are, but who can translate them into actionable steps and keep you informed about progress.

You should never be left to wonder what your developer or content manager is up to. If she drops off the planet for weeks at a time, you’re wasting valuable time and money trying to keep track of a lost cause.

2. Over-promising and under-delivering

When it comes to website management services, the old adage is true. If it sounds too good to be true…

This can be a hard line to walk, especially if you’re relatively new to working with web content management agencies. You want to work with an ambitious team with big ideas, but you don’t want to be paying month after month for promises that never materialize. Don’t even get me started on so-called SEO services that produce zero results!

To gauge whether your agency’s promises are realistic, ask questions. Don’t be afraid to request examples of past work that point to your agency’s success with similar business needs and KPIs.

3. Not being flexible

Sometimes even successful businesses become stuck in their own processes and old ways of thinking. Always remember that your website maintenance services should work for you. Your website manager should be willing to listen to your needs and adapt as necessary.

Of course, if your ideas will totally tank your SEO or otherwise cause harm to your business, your developer should provide respectful pushback. You can respect that, right? But refusing to consider your scheduling preferences or waiting weeks to push a standard update to your CMS? Big. Red. Flags.

4. Refusing to provide administrator level access

I’ve talked about this all-too-common problem before: it’s unethical for your web developer to restrict your access to your own website. At the beginning of your working relationship, make sure it’s clear that you will register your own domain name and expect top level access to your hosting account and WordPress dashboard.

It’s simple: your site is yours. If your web developer, designer, or content manager won’t give you access, don’t work with them!

5. Just…being…too…slow…

Even though this issue comes last, it may be the most common problem with website management services today. I can’t count the number of times clients have approached me feeling utterly defeated by an unresponsive, almost-comically-slow web developer. The key word, though, is almost—it’s never funny when your website goes offline or your registration form breaks on the last day of sign-ups for your webinar.

If your requests take weeks to get a response, let alone a solution, your website manager is not providing you value.

Are you ready to take back your website?

Even if your webmaster is putting up all of these red flags, it may be tempting to think, “But I’ve already spent so much money on this agency’s website services. I can’t afford to drop them now!” And this makes sense—in fact, it’s so common that there’s a whole field of study around this sunk cost fallacy.

But the truth?

You can’t afford not to.

Consider all the time you spend, wasted, on chasing down your developer or arguing for the right to access your own content. Think about the hours you could spend on value-added activities or on taking a little extra time off . . . ugh.

If your website manager isn’t responsive, reliable, and 100% focused on you, it’s time—fire your website manager! You’re in the driver’s seat.
Whatever your company website needs are, let’s talk about them!

Your website management team at Emily Journey & Associates.

Hi, I’m Rachel Pfanz and I lead the WordPress Website Management team at Emily Journey & Associates.
We provide WordPress website management services and training for businesses all over the United States. As WordPress instructors and developers, we talk with business leaders and decision makers about their websites every day. When a new client shows up on our doorstep, they’ve often been put through the wringer by their most recent website management service.

We hear some crazy stories from our new clients.

Mostly from people feeling held hostage by their website developer–who fell off the face of the earth.
Our founder, Emily Journey, puts it this way:

I’ll go ahead and say it. Poor communication and downright dishonest behavior are a serious problem in my industry.

As a website consultant and WordPress expert, I am often disappointed in the reputation of my industry.

The truth about WordPress Website Management services

Business cat with stack of paper
This is you.

As a business manager, you don’t have the time, resources, or knowledge base to devote to your own WordPress website management—or maybe you do, but you’d rather spend your resources directly on product development or relationship building or whatever it is that makes your company tick.
In addition to our work in website management, we serve as website instructors and advisors. We meet people all the time who decide to take back the reigns of their company website by learning WordPress.

Help with WordPress

Are we any different?

four women laughing seated at table
Kris, Rachel, Emily, and Erin

Whatever your company website needs are, let’s talk about them!

How to tell when your website management services are NOT adding value

How can you recognize when your website maintenance agency is working for itself—and not for you?

When it comes to website maintenance services, the old adage is true.

Even though this issue comes last, it may be the most common problem with website maintenance services today.

Think about the hours you could spend on value-added activities or on taking a little extra time off . . . ugh.

If your WordPress website manager isn’t responsive, reliable, and 100% focused on you, it’s time—fire your website manager! You’re in the driver’s seat.

Whatever your company website needs are, let’s talk about them!

Would you believe me if I told you one of my favorite discussions is about getting fired?
Well, it’s true! When business owners are engaging me for their WordPress website management, I’m often asked a question like this…
“Emily, what happens if you get hit by a truck?”
Now, they aren’t looking for the logistics of that horrible situation, of course. But the colloquial phrase gets the point across. They want to know one thing: What happens to their website?

It’s a valid question! And one you should consider, even outside the realm of uncertain death.
You see, business owners are getting smart about website management these days. Over the years, the profession has developed a pretty poor reputation of being flaky, despondent, full of empty promises and just all-around unprofessional.

Contact Us  (844)972-6224

In fact, I’d venture a guess that you’ve had an unpleasant experience with one yourself. After all, what other reason would you have for clicking through on this headline? 🙂
Thankfully, as the web continues to develop and simplify, you have access to other options for website management services.
But before you cut the cord and fire your website designer, there are a couple of things you need to do first. Otherwise, you’re putting yourself in a situation where the frustrated designer could do all sorts of unprofessional things.

Make Sure You Have Logins

First things first, make sure you have administrator access to each of the properties the website designer setup to run your website. At minimum, this includes the following:

  • Hosting Provider
  • Domain Name
  • WordPress Website

If they’ve installed any additional software (e.g. email marketing, e-commerce solutions, affiliate database), you’ll need the logins to this as well.
The easiest thing to do is request admin access from the website designer.
Any legitimate professional (even if they’ve produced disappointing work) will happily hand these over to you. However, if there’s an instance where they’ve disappear or refused to comply, then you’ll need to contact each of the providers and ask what you need to do to prove that you own these web properties.

Change All Passwords

I hope step one wasn’t too much of a hassle for you. I know how frustrating it can be when that step is overly difficult to complete.
But, it’s time to put that behind you and move on to the next step! This one is simple…
Change all the passwords.
Make sure to use a new password that your website manager cannot figure out. And once the passwords have been changed, immediately remove the designer as an admin. Otherwise, they may be able to find out the password through a “Forgot My Password” prompt.

Quick Tip: An often overlooked access path is FTP credentials.

Fire Your Website Designer

Now it’s time to take the final step.

Couple breaking up
Breaking up is hard to do

If the designer has completely disappeared, a simple email officially ending the relationship will likely suffice. However, if their work quality has just not been up to par, they may want to talk with you on the phone or in person.
Nevertheless, the result is the same: fire your website manager!
We’re living in an era of the Internet where business owners can manage their website without the full-time assistance of a consulting third-party. All it takes is a bit of investment in learning the basic technical aspects of website maintenance.
(Or you could even send one of your employees to learn it for you!)
It’s time to take control of your website.

As a business leader, you manage a steady stream of responsibilities. With so much to handle everyday, there’s no time to worry about the technical tasks of website management. Not to mention the time it would take to actually accumulate the necessary skills. You know that reliable website management services are valuable.

Chances are, you came to this conclusion through a firsthand experience. Maybe the site went down right before a campaign launch; or you’re just tired of feeling stressed and overwhelmed because your current website manager dropped the ball again.

The latter happens more often than you think, unfortunately. Many companies come to me with a stressful tale… they trusted their business with a website management agency that expects payment, but never actually delivers any value.

Ready to break things off with your website developer?

Unprofessional, overpriced web developers and designers are the reality for so many businesses today. But it doesn’t have to be your reality. Whatever your current website situation happens to be, let’s talk about it!

Emily Journey & Associates is a boutique WordPress consulting company

Businesses rely on their website as a foundational support for brand awareness, lead generation and customer retention. A small but skilled and reliable team of website consultants is essential.
As WordPress consultants, our small team at Emily Journey and Associates is here to provide the value, attention and technical support your business needs.

Here’s our advantage: We’re not website developers–we don’t devote our time to building websites from scratch.

We’re not using website management services as easy passive income to support the big projects we really enjoy.

This is what we really enjoy.

Over a year ago, we completely stopped taking on any full-scale website development projects. Now, we only offer website management services and WordPress training. As a result, we’re more efficient and focused . . . and our clients are happier!

As your WordPress consultants, we can focus on the small, day-to-day details that keeps everything running smooth. No more agencies ignoring you because there are “more pressing” projects and “more important” clients.
Invest in a website management team that is responsive, reliable and 110% focused on YOU. If that’s what you need, contact us! We’ll discuss your company’s specific needs and how we can be of help .

Characteristics of a Best-In-Class Website Consultant

Okay, so we’ve talked a bit about the dangers creeping in the darker side of my industry. However, there are plenty of us who are value-driven and ethically-based.

Even if you don’t use my services, I want you to know how to tell the heroes from the villains. I want you to find the right consultant who will really give you help with WordPress. With that in mind, here are some characteristics of a best-in-class website consultant…

1. Shares Progress in a Consistent, Honest Way. If someone isn’t willing to regularly report on the things they’ve accomplished, run far away.

2. Keeps their Word and Reliably Executes Deliverables. Plenty of people know how to talk the talk. Make sure you hold them accountable to walk the walk. Ask for references and don’t be afraid to walk away if they can’t meet expectations.

3. Seeks to Serve Your Company’s Individual Needs. Each website has different needs. Find someone who understands the unique challenges and requirements of your business. Avoid cookie-cutter agreements with anyone who seems disengaged.

4. Values Authenticity and Loves Teaching. You may not ever want to manage this yourself, but most business owners like to know a bit about everything. Make sure your WordPress consultant is willing and eager to answer your questions.

5. Prioritizes Responsive Communication. Disasters can happen at any time. It shouldn’t take days (or weeks) to get a response. If something goes wrong, you should trust your consultant will be there with a solution ASAP.

Ready for reliable website management services?

Contact us for information and pricing.

With our subscription based website maintenance services, you get dedicated time on your website each month.

Keep your digital presence stable with website management services for WordPress

There’s a key concept in behavioral economics called sunk cost fallacy. Basically, it’s that voice in your head that keeps saying, “I’ve already spent so much money with this web developer. I can’t afford to drop them now!”

The truth is, you can’t afford NOT to!

Let go of the “professional” that just wants YOU to support THEM with that monthly retainer fee.

Think about all the days or weeks you waited for a simple email response. How many times have you had to ask (or argue) for access to your own content or website?

What if you spent that time on activities to generate new business? Would your company have more customers or greater brand awareness? How many sales have you lost because a lazy website developer didn’t do the job?

Hopefully, you haven’t had to experience this type of website management service. Read on . . .

Warning! You’re Getting Scammed By a Web Developer

Based on the countless stories I hear from business owners and managers, unethical website developers pose a serious problem in my industry. That kind of statement has created some tension between me and my peers, but someone needs to say it.

It’s not my responsibility to pander to my peers. Rather, I’m here to maximize your website’s value — even if that means ruffling some feathers.

Unreliable and unprofessional website companies give all digital professionals a bad name. The rest of us are left working twice as hard to prove we’re not all unreliable, unresponsive and, quite frankly, overpriced. You shouldn’t feel hostage to a web developer refusing to give you access to your content, update your website, keep everything functioning, or even answer a simple email!

On top of all that… website management isn’t even a website developer’s job!

Many developers use website management service contracts as a way to make maximize their income. They build your site then keep you paying a monthly fee even if they aren’t adding value. And the few tasks they DO complete? It’s not their primary (or even secondary) focus!

Your website falls low on their priority list because it’s viewed as “passive” income. You quickly learn how difficult it is to get even the smallest changes implemented. Then things really take a turn when the website goes down for days – or even weeks – without a solution or response.

You deserve better.

Invest in a website management team that is responsive, reliable and 110% focused on YOU. If that’s what you need, contact us! We’ll discuss your company’s specific needs and how we can be of help .

Come with me as I share with you how to get more Google reviews for your business.

Google. Blegh. It’s that frustrating maze that confuses us at every turn. SEO, paid advertising, content marketing… Just about anywhere you try to promote your business online, you’re going to run into this behemoth.

So, you dive into Google trying to discover some basic information. Somehow the process feels more difficult and awkward than that first date you went on last week.

But after quite a bit of diligence, serendipitous happenstance or favor from the heavens, you find today’s article. Alas! Elation fills your heart as I’ve connected to your pain these past few sentences. And worry not, weary traveler, I’m here to guide you to the answer.

(Spoiler Alert: The same thing that got you here – a bit of diligence, serendipity and a smile from the universe – is all you’ll need to accomplish this goal.)

1. Provide a Google Review-Worthy Experience

For any local business, getting Google reviews are very important. When someone searches for your online, a large box featuring your reviews lands at the top of the results.

If someone is searching for your type of business in Maps, the reviews also take a prominent spot. The more reviews, the more likely the prospect looks at your company over competitors.

It makes sense, then, that so many businesses work hard to get Google reviews. But it’s about more than the technicalities of the process. (I’ll get into those soon.)

Word of mouth marketing has been the foundation of business growth for centuries.

Want to get people talking about your business? Give them something to talk about. Most people don’t go around reviewing every local shop in town. It usually happens for one of two reasons:

  1. The service was so terrible that the customer had to angrily tell everyone.
  2. The service was so amazing that the customer had to excitedly tell everyone.

None of these tactics will replace the need for remarkable customer experience. They will encourage more neutral and positive people to leave good reviews. But these tactics won’t work (or worse, they’ll backfire) if you aren’t WOWing people on a regular basis.

2. Provide Potential Google Reviewers With Instructions

Chances are, one of two hang-ups brought you to today’s post: how to actually post reviews, or trouble with your reviews showing up. I’ll address both of these issues in the next two sections.

First… “How the heck do you actually post a review?”

I feel your pain. Google makes this unnecessarily convoluted, even though it’s actually quite simple. Here are some step-by-step instructions for your reference.

Step #1: Pull Up Your Business on Google Maps

Step #2: Scroll to the Bottom and Click “Write a Review”

Google Review Post

Step #3: Type it Up and Share Your Experience!

Google Review Post

When you run a local business, the experience is in person. This makes following up online and sharing digital information a bit tougher.

Pro Tip: I’d suggest printing out a one-page instruction page that explains the process. Then you can hand out the flyers to happy customers.

3. Use the Google API for Online Interactions

If you’re connecting with customers online, then you can use the Google API to share a link. This makes leaving a review even easier. And in the world of fast food, fast cars and even faster Internet, speed and ease matters.

First, you need to copy the Place ID for your business:

  1. Go to Google Places API.
  2. Enter your address in the “Enter a Location” field.
  3. Click your business name or address as it appears.
  4. Copy your Place ID on the map.

For your reference, here’s what shows up when you search for the WP Artisans address:

Google Review Post

Once you get the Place ID, add it to this link template:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=<place_id>

So, for WP Artisans, the link to leave a review for my services looks like this:

https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=ChIJc0IJwvBdOIgRi9PT6hSVG_g

It’s that simple! Then you can include the link on your website or in email marketing campaigns. The easier you can make it, the better your chance of actually getting the review!

4. Respect Google’s Review Policies

Joy Hawkins, owner of Sterling Sky Inc, gave some powerful insight into the importance of respecting Google’s review policies.

In a question to the Advertiser Community, user Rising L asked,

I am starting to collect reviews for my new page, and one of my clients submitted a review about 4 days ago. It shows up for me as an admin, and I even replied to it. Yet when I view my page, it says “no reviews published” and as a viewer from the public, my page doesn’t even have a reviews tab! I don’t understand! How do I publish my reviews?!

Based on her personal experience, Joy shared several reasons why reviews go missing. Here are a few more common ones:

  • URLs in reviews
  • The same review appears elsewhere online (Yelp, your website, etc.)
  • The person who wrote the review works for you
  • The person wrote the review from the same IP address as other users who left you reviews
  • You’ve been collecting reviews in mass within a short time frame
  • The person reviewing you has a completely blank G+ profile and has never had any activity on that Google profile before or after they left you that review.
  • You hired an SEO company to post reviews for you
  • You have an onsite review station (Ipad, Computer etc) at your location
  • You are offering incentives for people who write you reviews.
  • Your # of reviews is abnormally higher than most businesses in your industry.

Trying to get Google reviews is hard enough. Don’t make it harder on yourself by disrespecting Google’s policies. Cause, I mean, they’re Google. Do you really think you can fool them?

There you have it! You’re officially a Google Review pro.
